One of the Best Gifts of All is the Gift of Your Presence

...give them the gift of your presence.

…give them the gift of your presence.

This week’s Reminder is prompted by an incident I learned of where a mother was pushing her child on a swing with one hand while texting on his cell phone with the other.  I know that texting and talking on a cell phone can be addictive, but when it comes to family and friends, I think we owe them the courtesy of giving them our full presence while we’re with them.  If we can’t do this, then we’re really not much of a friend or parent.  So, if you’re playing with your child or visiting with a friend, turn your cell phone off and give them the gift of your presence.  You’ll both be glad you did.

  1. Ross,

First a Merry Christmas to you and your family.

Whether in our personal life, public life or in our business life cell phone manners should always be considered. Manners in this case mean being
    considerate of everyone around us.

For my new years resolution for 2014, mine will be being much more considerate of other.

    Take care,

    KCA

  2. Amen I also have a hard time understanding people who spend their entire time at an athletic event…..like a football or hockey game using their phone and not watching the event.
