Not long ago, I was feeling stressed out and in need of some fast relief. So, I went to one of my favorite places located about two hours from my home. It’s located on the edge of a cliff at about 7,000 feet above sea level. It’s almost always breezy up there and it overlooks green ponderosa pines for as far as you can see. I sat there in a lawn chair for the better part of the afternoon letting the cool breeze run across my face and through my hair. During this time I let my mind and body flow with the breeze. When I got into my car to drive home, I felt entirely stress free. It was a fantastic and very rewarding way to spend an afternoon. For the price of a few gallons of gas and an afternoon, I returned relaxed, refreshed and ready to take on the tasks that had been causing me stress. Once again, nature is a great stress reliever.
All I can say is it’s nice to still have hair for the breeze to blow through. Sounds like a great spot Ross!
I used to get the same feeling when I would take my Jeep up into the North Georgia mountains, get on a trail and see where I wound up.
Ahhhh yes! The Mongollon Rim … it’s also one of my favorite places. And then to sit on the banks of Wood’s Canyon Lake. So peaceful.
