My wife recently took a few minutes to send emails of encouragement to a few people who had gone the extra mile for her at work. One of these people responded with, “Thank you so much. Your email came at a perfect time. Everyone here is under a lot of pressure, resources are very tight, we’re short staffed (each person working here is doing the work of three people) and morale is very low. Your email provided me with the uplift I needed to get through my day.” When she shared this with me, I got to thinking that any time is the perfect time to receive a word of encouragement.
I can’t imagine a bad time for receiving such a message. Words of encouragement make people’s days even when things are going well. What there seems to be a shortage of, however, are people who are willing to give out words of encouragement. So, I’m asking each of you to take a few minutes today and send out two or three encouraging emails to people who have done nice things for you recently. Doing this will not only make these people’s days, it will make yours as well.
Ross:
This weeks article was very timely for me. While visiting one of our offices this week I remembered how important everyone there is to me and how much they do for me as co-workers and as friends.
Notes are going out today!
Take care and enjoy your week.
Best Regards,
KCA
