My Weekly Reminder

Most of us have experienced people who don’t control their emotions very well.  Their behavior can vary unpredictably from angry to sulking to being excessively sensitive or irritable.  What’s more, they expect those around them to cater to their changing emotions.  We refer to these people as being moody.  The problem is the moodiness is an immature and selfish act and it alienates just about everyone around you including your boss, your peers and the people who work for you.  If you’re prone to moodiness, you might as well be wearing a sign that says, “Don’t promote me, I’m not a team player!”  So, if you’re ever tempted to fall into a mood, keep in mind that it’s simply not worth it.  Instead, suck it up and force yourself to be nice to those around you even if you don’t feel like it.  What you’ll find is that these people will, in turn, be nice to you which will make you feel good again and you’ll avoid wearing one of those “don’t promote me” signs.

Feedback From a Subscriber

On September 15th, I received the following email:

Dr. Reck,

I wanted to take the time and say thank you for an engaging seminar which I attended through John Deere in Grimsby, Ontario, Canada.  Your PRAM model tools are invaluable and I look forward to working towards a long relationship with the PRAM model in my everyday and business life.

The course was excellent and I look forward to attending future courses of yours.  My book list purchases now include REVVED.

Thank you again for the special attention and time that you gave each one of us whom attended.  I wish you the best of luck in the future and hope to see you on Oprah!

Cheers,
