My Reminder of the Week

Personal relationships don’t maintain themselves. Like any other living thing, they need to be fed and cared for if you expect them to thrive.  This involves regularly visiting the people you have relationships with, either in person or over the phone, when you don’t ask for anything.  If the only time you call or call on someone is when you want something, you quickly become known as a “taker” or “user” and no one wants to go the extra mile for someone like that.  So, take fifteen minutes a week and call a few people on your “relationship list” just to say hi and ask how they’re doing.  If you do, the next time you need a favor from one of them, you’ll be glad you did.

Example of the Week

Again, this week’s example will show you how to get other people excited about going the extra mile for you by connecting their self-interest with yours.  if you wish to read it, please click on the EXAMPLE OF THE WEEK at the BOTTOM of this Reminder.

Pass it on

If you know anyone who would like to read my Weekly Reminder, I would very much appreciate it if you would pass it on to them or sign them up.  Thank you!
