Take The Time To Brighten Someone’s Gloomy Day–You’ll Be Glad You Did

You Cared

Sunshine on CaulkboardIf someone appears to be down, take the time to build them back up.  Go to them and say something like, “You seem kind of down today, is everything all right?”  Then be prepared to listen to what they have to say and look for ways in which you can help lighten their load.  Taking such a personal interest communicates the deepest form of caring.  Even if he or she doesn’t want to talk about why they are down, they will always remember that you cared enough to ask and they will like you for having done so.  Doing this will not only make you feel very good about yourself, but now you have someone waiting in the wings to help you through your next gloomy day.
