Simple Kind Acts We Can Do to Make the World a Better Place

Kindness

I saw the following list of kind acts that we all can easily do to make the world a better place posted on Facebook:

  • Tip your server.
  • Return your shopping cart.
  • Pick up a piece of trash.
  • Hold the door for the person behind you.
  • Let someone into your traffic lane.
  • Smile at a stranger.
  • Pay someone a compliment.
  • If an item has fallen off a store shelf, return it to where it belongs.

Small acts like these can have a ripple effect. Others see us doing them and they copy our behavior and so forth. This is how we make the world a better place.

One Sentence Wisdom

  • “There is nothing more beautiful than someone who goes out of their way to make life beautiful for others.” — Mandy Hale
  • “Remember there’s no such thing as a small act of kindness. Every act creates a ripple with no logical end.” — Scott Adams

If you know of someone who you think would enjoy reading my Reminder, please forward it to them. Also, feel free to use this content in your own publications—newsletters, blogs, etc.

  1. Thank you, Ross, for this. Our world of today, in so many ways, needs this list of reminder….easy things to do…all that we grew up knowing was just the right thing/things to do to show people we care. If I was still teaching I would share this email with my classes.
