I came across an article written by author, and senior science writer for the Boston Globe, Sharon Begley. The article took a close look at which vitamins, foods, drugs, and mental exercises might enhance the effectiveness of our brains. Ms. Begley concluded her article by saying that there are two additional things that really make a big difference. The first was regular exercise—the equivalent of walking 45 minutes three times a week. The second was meditation. Both these activities are relatively pleasant and easy to do, plus they have a positive impact on our overall physical health as well as our attitude. And, the good news is, both are free.
