Thriving! Inspirational Reminders for Getting the Most Out of Life

Available as an eBook directly from Amazon.com

British writer Dr. Samuel Johnson once said, “People need to be reminded far more often than they need to be instructed.”

This is especially true when it comes to getting the most out of life. We all know the things we need to do, but we still need to be reminded to do them.

Thriving! was written to do just that—to remind us of the obvious things we need to do but often forget.

Each one-page chapter of Thriving! contains a compelling story, an inspirational quote, a personal action plan, and a suggestion for additional reading—all designed to remind us of the obvious things we need to do to get the most out of life.

Reviews from Amazon

In this book Reck gives us about 50 ways to make ourselves better. Each one-page chapter is a lesson about how to he happier, and contains a brief story, an inspirational quote, concrete steps we can take, and suggested further reading on the topic. For example, “Courage is going from failure to failure without losing enthusiasm” is about perseverance. The story is about Churchill, the inspirational quote is from Thomas Edison, the personal action plan is to avoid giving up on dreams and important goals, and the reading is Grit by Angela Duckworth. It is excellent inspirational reading in bite-sized pieces that anyone can do in about 5 minutes a day and be a better person for it.

Self help books are a dime a dozen. So do not let this short, easy to read book by Dr Ross Reck fool you. First off there is nothing entirely new here. It is how it is packaged that is new and exciting. This book will provide the kind help all of us need. But to acquire that help you must read this book. 50 chapters or perhaps better said, 50 different topics illustrate ways to make our lives and the lives of those we love better. Each one-page chapter is a lesson about how to thrive in life. Each contains a brief story, an inspirational quote, a suggestion for a personal action plan and suggested further reading on the topic. I suggest you slowly read and savor this book. Perhaps a topic a day taking less then 5 minutes. But here is the key. Ponder the topic, think about it, consider it. Give each topic time to sink deeply into your being before moving on to the next. Then re read the book focusing on the topics that appeal to you the most. I hope you read Thriving!: Inspirational Nuggets For Getting The Most Out of Life and get the most out of you life.
