There Are No Shortcuts to Any Place Worth Going

Shortcuts

The above is a quote from Beverly Sills. What this means is that if you want to experience a level of success that’s beyond the ordinary, you have to be willing to start at the bottom and work your way up. The good news is that the most difficult part of the process is getting started. Once you start, you quickly begin to build momentum and pretty soon, what once looked like hard work starts to become fun. Why? Because you’re finally going somewhere rather than standing around and watching the world pass you buy. Life doesn’t get much better than this. So, if you’ve been holding back or procrastinating, now may be the perfect time to get started.

One Sentence Wisdom

  • “Procrastination is like a credit card: it’s a lot of fun until you get the bill.” — Christopher Parker
  • “Procrastination is the thief of time.” — Edward Young
