Author, Mandy Hale put it this way: “To make a difference in someone’s life, you do not have to be brilliant, rich, beautiful, or perfect. You just have to care.” This means that every one of us is capable of positively affecting the lives of others. For example, if someone appears to be down, take the time to build them back up by going to them and saying something like, “You seem kind of down today, is everything all right?” Then be prepared to listen to what they have to say and look for ways to lighten their load. Taking a personal interest communicates the deepest form of caring. Even if this person doesn’t want to talk about why they’re down, they will always remember that you cared enough to ask.
