My Wife’s cousin Linda, who is also my very good friend, posted the above quote on Facebook recently. Then she added: “Good morning my peeps! I am making memories every single day and spending time with family and friends who are a very important part of my life. I will have beautiful things to recall when this body is no longer able to do things and travel. Will you? Make it happen. Time does not stand still for anyone. Have a great day!” What she’s saying is that life is far more rewarding if you’re a participant instead of a spectator. Being a participant means that you take the initiative and get out and do things with people you care about. That’s the stuff that memories are made of. Spectators stay put and let the world pass them and wind up with only unfulfilled dreams to think about. The message is clear: get out and make some memories while you still can!
