The Golden State Warriors team of the National Basketball Association is doing extremely well. They began the season with a league leading record of 41 wins against only nine losses. They have the No. 1 defense in the league and the No. 2 offense. Yes, they have good players and good coaches, but the thing that makes all the difference on the court is their team chemistry—this is a very close-knit team which means they all get along. According to an article by Ben Cohen, which appeared in a recent issue of The Wall Street Journal, one of the key reasons for their tight chemistry is that the team eats together every night when they’re on the road. Spending non-working time together like the Warriors do is what builds camaraderie which results in a tight team chemistry. This, in turn, leads to an unselfish style of play that not only wins ball games, but is truly a joy to watch. This is the same reason that successful companies like Google strongly encourage their employees to eat lunch together on a daily basis.
