My Weekly Reminder

Television Commentator, Charles Kuralt, once said, “Great things are not accomplished by those who yield to trends and fades and popular opinion.”  Dale Carnegie put it this way, “The person who goes farthest is generally the one who is willing to do and dare.  The sure-thing boat never gets far from shore.”  In other words, to succeed in life, we must take risks.  The good news is that taking risks makes life exciting, it results in personal growth, expands our comfort zone, builds our confidence and strengthens our self-image.  Even if you fail, you still grow and learn.  So, the next time you are tempted to turn down a challenging opportunity, remember the words of Rober Frost, “Two roads diverging in a wood.  I took the one less traveled and it made all the difference.”

5 Cool Ideas

I subscribe to a free newsletter written by Michael Angelo Caruso.  It always contains some great practical ideas.  Michael is also the author of a book called: 5 Cool Ideas.  A sample of his work and information on his book, audio program and newsletter are presented below:

Be the First Person to Reach Out   When meeting people, try to formally meet everyone you talk to.  After all, you can better help people once you know them.  Once they know you, people can contribute to your cause, give you valuable advice and introduce you to other people.   Try to be the person who initiates the introduction. Always extend your hand first.  The first person  to reach out establishes influence and control in a relationship.  When you reach out first, you set the tone and put the relationship in motion.

Use this control to help people feel comfortable.Never use your power for evil.Michael Angelo Caruso is the author of the book, 5 Cool Ideas and the FastLearnerAudio series.  You can receive his complimentary newsletter by sending an e-mail to 5CoolIdeas@MichaelAngeloCaruso.com.
