I came across a heart-warming story posted on The Bronson Bar’s Facebook page that I felt needed to be shared. The Bronson Bar is located in Bronson, Iowa which is a small town located just outside Sioux City. Recently, an auction was held to benefit the Lawton-Bronson high school football team. One of the items that was going to be auctioned was puppy. A young boy who was attending the auction made an instant love connection with the puppy when he picked it up and held it. He went to the auctioneer and told him he was going to bid on the puppy and that he had saved all his money which was more than $100. All those who heard this were concerned because dogs typically raise a high bid. As the writer of the post put it, “Once the bid went over $100 there were many tears. Two gentlemen bidding on the puppy, donated by the Bronson Bar, raised the bid to $1500. At the conclusion of bidding, the winner of the puppy gave the little boy the dog, who is now named Bronson. Not only were funds raised for the football team, but a family and all those who have heard this story know that we have some of the greatest people with the biggest hearts living right here in our community.”
My son wanted an expensive toy from Sears for Christmas, Instead he received a beautiful liver & white English Springer Spaniel and we named him Robot (Robot Beach Prince). He was family fo over 13 years.
