My Weekly Reminder
Why does it take courage to follow your dream? Because following your dream often requires that you stop following the crowd and start charting your own direction. The minute you do this, many of those around you will try to second-guess you by saying things like: “Are you sure you want to do that?” Or, “What if you fail?” Or, “Why do you want to throw away such a promising career?” Courage is the act of ignoring such statements and listening to your inner voice which suggested that you follow your dream in the first place. This process is made much easier once you realize that the people second-guessing you are really saying: “I sure wish you wouldn’t follow your dream, because I’ll feel really bad if you succeed.” As Walt Disney once said, “All our dreams can come true if we have the courage to pursue them.”

Last week I received the following email from a subscriber:
“Hey my friend,
Your tips have been lifesavers as I’ve been using them as mine while giving you credit. We are so busy with all the meetings and stuff that I haven’t been creative and sure appreciate your timely, on target comments. Hope you’re doing well.”
