Leaps of Faith Cause Dreams to Come True

EinsteinAlbert Einstein once said, “I must be willing to give up what I am to become what I will be.” This is the hard part of following our dreams that is seldom talked about. Moving forward through life requires that we let go of the comfortable and familiar that we may have worked hard to achieve and move onto new things. This is called the leap of faith–a sense of confidence that things will work out. This is why so many people back away from pursuing their dream–the leap of faith sounds too scary. In reality, it’s really not scary at all. If you take the leap of faith and things don’t work out, you learn what you can from the experience and try again. Eventually you’ll succeed which gives you the confidence necessary to take future leaps of faith. Taking these leaps of faith adds excitement and meaning to our lives because it causes our dreams to come true.

  1. My girlfriend is going on a 3 months trip, but was afraid of quitting her job, a job she really likes. I remembered one of your many emails i read, and told her that she does not necessarily has to quit her job, but ask for permission to her boss. She was reluctant at first, thinking it was to much and the would fire her immediately.

After insisting, she talked to her boss, resulting in getting permission of traveling 3 months, and when she gets back, they will see if she can get a raise, after all the many years of hard work she has done for the company.

This phrase by Robert Fritz inspired me also: “If you limit your choices only to what seems possible or reasonable, you disconnect yourself from what you truly want, and all that is left is a compromise.”
