When you are kind, you attract people to you like a magnet. Why? Because everyone wants to hang out with kind people, and no one wants to hang out with unkind people. In fact, two large research studies (one with 10,000 young people aged 20-25 across 33 countries and another with 14,000 young people across 45 countries) found that kindness is the attribute that both men and women feel is most important when it comes to selecting a mate. Kindness won out over good looks and good financial prospects. Again, no one wants to spend the rest of their life with an unkind person no matter how good looking they are or how much money they have. While good looks and money may temporarily turn people’s heads, it’s kindness that turns the heart.
