Recently, I received an email with a list of effortless ways to extend kindness to people and make your corner of the planet a better place. I’d like to share some of them with you:
- Send someone a card.
- Smile at someone who looks like they need a little cheering up.
- Let someone go ahead of you in the checkout line at the grocery store.
- Be extra pleasant to food servers and flight attendants.
- Ask to speak to a manager when you get good customer service.
- Let someone merge in front of you in traffic.
- Say something kind to the people you come into contact with.
- Send someone a text to let them know that you are thinking of them.
- Open doors and hold them for people.
Kindness is a gift everyone can afford to give. What’s more, performing kind acts benefits the giver as well as the receiver and leaves a lasting impression on any observers.
