If You’re Having a Great Day, Share it by Letting it Show

Standing in Line

I recently went to the pharmacy to pick up a prescription. The person ahead of me had some issues with his prescription which took nearly twenty minutes of the pharmacist’s time to resolve. All the while, the pharmacist smiled as she listened to this person and entered information into the computer. When it was my turn, I walked up to the counter expecting her to be somewhat frazzled, but no, she greeted me with a smile and a large dose of enthusiasm. I said to her, “You’re having a great day, aren’t you?” She looked at me and said, “Yes, I am!” At that moment, my energy level picked up and when I walked away from the counter, the rest of my day was a lot more upbeat thanks to this woman who passed some of the great day she was having on to me. So, the next time you find yourself having one of those “great days,” don’t keep it to yourself. Be like this pharmacist and share it in a way that causes other people to have a great day as well.
