My oldest daughter, my wife and I decided to take our two oldest grandchildren, who are five and eight years old, fishing at a place called Rancho Tonto Catch-a-Trout. It’s a gorgeous place with a huge pond that is stocked with big and lively rainbow trout. Each time one of them caught a fish, they would scream, shout and jump up and down. After I unhooked each fish, they screamed and shouted again as they tried to pick up these flopping fish an put them into a bucket. Each time a fish flipped out of the bucket the same thing would happen again as they tried to pick up the fish and put it back in. These kids were excited, they were happy and were experiencing the “best time ever.” My five-year-old grandson was so excited that he even kissed one of the fish. As my daughter, wife and I watched this experience unfold for these kids, we were overcome with pure joy. It was a most fantastic way to spend part of a Saturday.
Ross,
I see that you have a red-headed granddaughter; Red headed people make up only 2% of the world’s population, therefore she’s a “2%-er,” a rare and special person… If she has blue eyes as well, she drops into an even rarer group; only 1% of the earth’s population have both red hair and blue eyes (like me), the “1%-ers.”.
I “borrowed” and modified a document about red-heads several years ago and I’ll try to attache it or at least send it back as a response to your e-mail.
A fan,
George
