In sports, the people who hustle are the ones who get noticed and create opportunities for themselves. The same holds true in other aspects of life. When you hustle–apply your best efforts to the opportunities and challenges that life brings your way–sooner or later you’ll get noticed and good things will start to happen. Yes, there are those times when we’re tempted to give less than our best–maybe we don’t like our job, our boss, our company or we’re getting ready to take a new job at another company, so why bother? If you’re ever tempted like this, remember that nothing good can ever come from giving less than your best–those around you notice and it will eventually come back to haunt you. Instead of creating opportunities for you, giving less than your best actually prevents them from appearing. So, if you’re ever tempted to give less than your best, remember the words of legendary Penn State football coach Joe Paterno, “If you keep hustling, something good will happen.”
