Recently, I was walking across the parking lot toward the Trader Joe’s near my home. It was a gorgeous Arizona day and I was in a terrific mood, so I enthusiastically greeted every person I passed. One woman I greeted sarcastically said back to me: “You must not have any money in the stock market; that’s why you’re so happy!” I thought: Yes I do, but that’s no reason not to be happy on a day like this. Even with the economy in the toilet, most of us still have a lot to smile about–our freedom, our health and our loved ones. These are the things that true happiness is made of and money can’t buy any of them. If we tie our happiness to the economy, there are always going to be highs and lows–that’s the nature of economies. On the other hand, if we focus on those important things that money can’t buy, we’ll always have a reason to smile. – RossReck.com and InstantTurnaround.net
