My Weekly Reminder
The biggest single reason good employees leave their job is the treatment they recieve from their immediate boss. Below is a letter that appeared in a recent Dear Abby column. It was written to a former boss by an employee who had just resigned:
“Thanks for asking me to stay on, but I respectfully decline. I will be self-employeed from now on. However, if in the future I ever feel the need to be publicly humiliated, blind-sided,ostracized or (especially) chewed out when you’re having a bad day, I’ll get back to you!
–Moving On”
Thank You!
This issue marks the fourth anniversary of my Weekly Reminder. I would like to thank all of you for subscribing and I would especially like to thank the people who attended my seminar in Montreal who suggested that I write it. It’s been a wonderful experience.
Feedback From a Subscriber
I received the following email from a subscriber regarding the Weekly Reminder that was titled You Can’t Soar With the Eagles Unless You’re Willing to take Risks:
“Ross
This reminder was really inspiring to my sister-in-law. She decided to spend the day working on a business plan to get her out of her job and on her own. Thought you’d like to know that.”
