My Weekly Reminder
Some people look at performing acts of kindness as the expenditure of time and effort to benefit someone else. In reality, the big winner for being kind is you. First of all, peforming acts of kindness makes you feel good because it releases the reservoir of positive energy that resides in all of us. Second, you make the world a better place because your act of kindness releases the reservoir of positive energy in that other person. That person is now inclined to perform acts of kindness on those around him or her and so forth. Eventually, your original act of kindness will find its way back to you in more ways than one. Third, performing acts of kindness reveals your true character. This attracts other people to you which expands your base of influence. As American author, Barbara De Angelis put it, “Love and kindness are never wasted. They always make a difference. They bless the one who receives them, and they bless you, the giver.” So, get out there and perform those acts of kindness and watch your life grow richer with each passing day.
