Abuse Has No Place In Modern Management Practices

Several subscribers have let me know that they were offended by the faux foul language contained in the YouTube video that Harry Paul and I had produced to promote Instant Turnaround!  First of all, let me say that if the language in the video offended any of you, I am truly sorry.  The reason we used the faux foul language was to depict, as accurately as possible, how tens of millions of people are being abused every day by bosses who use very foul language to make them feel bad or keep them in their place.  Just for the record, my own daughter spent a year working for a very upscale hotel chain where she had to endure language that was much worse than that depicted in the video (including f-bombs) from her local managers as well from the senior managers at the headquarters in New York.  One of the reasons Harry and I wrote Instant Turnaround! was to call attention to this barbaric practice so we can do something to stop it.  No one should have to endure such awful treatment in this day and age, yet many millions do—day in and day out.

Once again, I’m sorry if the language in the video offended any of you, but the truth of the matter is that you were supposed to be offended.  This is an awful injustice that’s going on and Harry and I are trying to bring it to a close.  This is a very ugly chapter in modern business history.  Hopefully our video will help bring it to an end.  If you haven’t seen the video, here’s the link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8gzpdinvXHw.  Please join Harry and me in our campaign to end these barbaric management practices and bring dignity and respect to the workplace for everyone.
