My Weekly Reminder
Research conducted by Dr. Martin Seligman, Director of the Positive Psychology Center at the University of Pennsylvania shows that a person’s attitude is a better predictor of his or her success than I.Q., education and a host of other factors. Dr. Seligman found that people with a positive attitude are healthier, have better relationships, go further in their careers and make more money. This means that securing a better life is a matter of choosing our attitude. If we choose to be positive and work at it, a happier and more rewarding life is basically guaranteed. On the other hand, choosing a negative attitude is like shooting yourself in the foot–it all but guarantees that you’re going nowhere.
