One of my daughters recently emailed me a quote from Beverly Sills. It read, “There are no short cuts to any place worth going.” What this means is that if you want to experience a high level of success, you have to be willing to pay your dues–to start at the bottom and work your way up.
That’s just the way life is. The good news is that the most difficult part of the process is getting off your duff and getting started. Once you start, you quickly begin to build momentum and pretty soon, what once looked like hard work starts to become fun.
Why? Because you’re finally going somewhere rather than standing around and watching the world pass you buy. Life doesn’t get much better than this. So if you’ve been holding back or procrastinating, now may be the perfect time to get started.
