A Short Positive Email Can Really Brighten Someone’s Day

Available from Amazon.com

A friend of mine started a new job about a month ago.  The first week he was on the job, he received half a dozen emails from his new coworkers telling him things like, “So glad you’re a member of our team,” “I really enjoy working with you,” and “Happy to have you on board.”  Since then, he continues to get several similar emails every week and each one of them makes his day.  As a result, he really looks forward to going to work.  Short emails like these take almost no effort to write, but they have a huge impact on the person receiving them.  They also make the atmosphere at home or work far more positive and upbeat.  So, the next time you need to take a short break from what you’re doing, use it to send a short email to a coworker, friend or family member that brightens their day.  Doing so will brighten your day as well.

  1. Ross: Yep!! Your weekly reminder DID brighten an otherwise TERRIBLY gloomy, dreary, rainy day.
