A relative from Iowa sent this account of some neighborly kindness that happened to her.
“My yard is full of leaves. Today I heard a noise and thought that it was my neighbor blowing his leaves. When I went to move my plants outside from the garage, I discovered that the noise was in my yard. John, an 85-year-old retired teacher and basketball coach, blew all the leaves out of my yard and I raked them into bags. He then came back after lunch and mowed my yard. I thanked him many times this morning. It was such a kind and thoughtful gesture for the grass was so long I could not rake the leaves, so he used his blower. What a good neighbor.”
Kindness and gratefulness never goes out of style!
You bet! Thanks Mary. Ross
