My Weekly Reminder
If you’re looking for a way to cheer someone up or brighten their day, try writing them a personal letter. Because of the wide-spread use of electronic communication, people receive far fewer letters than they used to. When people open their mail box and see a personal letter, they become excited. It stands out like and oasis in a desert of bills and junk mail. Your letters don’t have to be long to have an impact. A simple “thinking of you” or “I hope you’re feeling better” or “congratulations” will do the job. When you take the time so write someone a letter, you send a clear message that you care about that person–which is a message we all need to hear in our fast paced world where people are almost too busy to tend to their relatinships. And, you’ve just given that person another reason to care about you.
