My Weekly Reminder
How often have you heard people say something like, “I would pursue my dream if only I were better at math.” Or, “If only I were a few years younger.” Or, “If only I had the money to pay for it.” While these may sound like legitimate barriers to your success, in truth they are excuses for doing nothing. What they really mean is that you are not as committed to your dream as you would like those around you to think you are. If your math skills are holding you back, this can be easily fixed at a community college. Age rarely has anything to do with following a dream and, if you’re short on money, figure out a way to get it–get a second job or take out a loan. As Henry Ford once said, “Obstacles are those frightful things you see when you take your eyes off your goal.” If you are truly committed to your dream, obstacles, like those mentioned above, may temporarily slow you down, but they will never stop you!
Book Update
Below is the final cover design for REVVED! If you want more information about the book, just click on the image. I will be doing a book signing at Changing Hands bookstore in Tempe, Arizona on April 27, probably from 7:00 until 9:00 in the evening. I hope to see some of you there!
I am a member of an organization called The Governors and we are busy planning our 20th annual fundraising event, the Governors’ Ball. As a part of this event, we sponsor a raffle to increase the proceeds given to our beneficiaries–the primary beneficiary being Banner Children’s Hospital at Banner Desert Medical Center.
This year’s raffle is for a weeklong trip for two to Ireland which includes airfare, lodging, $500 in spending cash and a piece of limited-edition Waterford Crystal.
Only 750 raffle tickets will be sold.
Raffle tickets are $50 each or 5 for $200!
The winning ticket will be drawn at the Ball on April 1, 2006. You need not be present to win.
Please let me know if you are interested in supporting this wonderful cause through the purchase of raffle tickets. If you would like to attend the Governors‘ Ball, please let me know as well, and I will see that you receive an invitation!
