The above is a quote from a sermon I heard recently. When you think about it, it’s actually pretty scary–our thoughts determine what we become. This means that we need to choose our thoughts very carefully or we run the risk of becoming something we don’t want to be. As we choose our thoughts, it’s important to keep in mind that positive thought lead to positive lives while negative thoughts lead to negative lives. As Henry David Thoreau put it, “Thought is the sculptor who can create the person you want to be.”
I could not agree more. I have always told my kids “you are what you think” and “what you think, you get more of.” I also believe that like thoughts, words are also very powerful. And what you say may not only affect you, but those around you. So choose your thoughts and your words carefully.
Thanks Tiffiny. It’s always good to her from you.
I agree 110%. And no matter what speed bumps I run into in my life (I’ve had plenty) I always count my blessings and remember my faith and know that I will get through thinking positively. I beam a huge bright positive light all the time.
Thank you Renee,
We both know about those speed bumps. I think I’ve had more than my share. I hope all is well. Ross
You always find something positive in everything. Love to read your page.
thanks cristiana
Hi Cris,
Thank you so much for your kind comments on my blog. I hope all is well. Ross
So, so true…Your thoughts determine your reality. This is one of the “parent tapes” that I hope my son carries with him as he grows up. 🙂
Hi Sarah,
Thanks for taking the time to comment on my Weekly Reminder. All the best to you. Ross
So true! Once again, an affirmation of the power of positive thinking!
Thanks Mary. Can’t wait to come up and see you. Ross
Thanks. Love this one.
Thanks, Marcia. So do I.
Ross: The proof of this communication is GOLF. If you are a golfer you know and if you are not a golfer just ask any of them about negative thoughts as they address the ball. Thanks again for your weekly reminders. I read every one of them and appreciate the work you do in putting them together.
Thank you for commenting on my blog. I hope all is well. Ross
Hey Ross,
